KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 9 — MCA president Datuk Seri Dr Chua Soi Lek and
DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng will debate the future of the Chinese
community in Malaysian politics on February 18.
The debate will happen during one of the sessions during a Chinese
Malaysian political future forum in a hotel in the capital, hosted
jointly by the Asian Strategy and Leadership Institute (Asli) and MCA
think-tank, Institute of Strategic Analysis and Policy Research (Insap).
Dr Chua (picture) thanked Lim for accepting the
debate invitation from the organisers. He was speaking to reporters
after the MCA central committee meeting he chaired, Bernama Online
reported.
The “Malaysian Chinese at the Political Crossroads” forum will be officiated by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak.
All parties with Chinese membership, in and out of government, have been invited to speak at the event.
Other than politicians, representatives from non-governmental organisations are also slated to speak.
