NONEFederal Court corporate communications and international relations head Mohd Aizuddin Zolkeply said the court was yet to complete the written judgment.

"A judgment will not just be based on several sentences. Wait for the grounds of judgment to be published and we will definitely inform the public once it is out," Aizuddin is quoted as saying by The Star today.

NONEThe Court of Appeal on Aug 8 freed national tenpin bowling ace Noor Afizal from the five-year jail sentence imposed by the High Court in Malacca for the rape of the 13-year-old girl.

Court of Appeal president Md Raus Sharif (right), who headed a three-member bench, instead bound Noor Afizal over for good behaviour for a period of five years on a sum of RM25,000.

Gobind has also called on the Attorney-General's Chambers to file for a review of the decision, The chambers appeal and trial division head, Kamaluddin Md Said said there was no decision on the matter.

Since this case originates from a sessions court in Malacca, the Court of Appeal will be the final court to hear any appeal or mete out punishment.
