Yet another senior member of the electoral reform group Bersih 2.0 has been denied entry into East Malaysia.
This time, Bersih 2.0 steering committee member Ahmad Syukri Ab Razab was prevented from entering Sabah by the state immigration officers this morning.
Ahmad Syukri (left), when contacted by Malaysiakini, said five immigration officers stopped him in Kota Kinabalu International Airport at 10.30am.
“The officers just told me that Sabah Chief Minister’s (Musa Aman) office has served a refusal of entry notice on me”.
The notice, signed by Sabah Immigration deputy assistant director Fendy Fiona J Jeplin indicated that Abdul Syukri was being barred under Section 65 1(a) of the Immigration Act.
Ahmad Syukri said he went to Sabah to run a three-day management workshop for local student activists.
Ahmad Syukri said he is now waiting to be deported at 12.30pm via Air Asia.
