Anti-Pakatan newsletter targets Kit Siang

DAP has cried foul over the distribution of a newsletter which carried an article claiming that its advisor Lim Kit Siang had uttered comments which were disrespectful to the Malay rulers.

NONEThe article which appeared on the Selangor Kita newsletter, citing anonymous sources, claimed that Lim had said that there was no need to respect the Agong.

"This isn't true. I did not mention such a thing. Neither has other DAP leaders mentioned this," said Lim.

Lim was referring to the May 2012 edition of the newsletter, which carries an anti-Pakatan Rakyat slant targeting its leaders in Selangor.

The publisher of the newsletter is unknown while Selangor Umno has denied involvement.
The eight-page newsletter carries a similar design to that of Selangor Kini, the state government’s official newsletter.

Speaking at a press conference in Petaling Jaya earlier this morning, Lim said that the newsletter had purposely tried to taint his reputation.

"This is an irresponsible article that only cause a loss of trust and more conflicts among the races in Malaysia.

"It also gave me a wrong picture, saying as if I am against and disrespecting the Malay Rulers," he added.
