Stones and eggs were again thrown at a Pakatan Rakyat ceramah, causing one senior citizen to suffer injuries to the head.
The man was bleeding from his head and barely conscious when taken away to seek medical attention.
The incident happened at about 11pm, when PKR de facto leader Anwar Ibrahim was speaking at a ceramah at Apartment Pantai Permai, Kuala Lumpur, which is within the PKR-held constituency of Lembah Pantai.
According to eyewitnesses, the projectile was hurled into the crowd from an Umno function at the Pantai Dalam Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) quarters next door.
This happened about 30 minutes after the power supply for the event was cut, allegedly sabotaged, but hastily restored with some tape.
Despite the disruptions, the ceramah was able to proceed as participants remained calm and allowed Anwar to finish his speech.
Fist-sized flying brick
Another projectile victims was 12-year-old Nurul Balqis, who was struck by a fist-sized flying brick on her wrist.
Her mother Adita Ketek told reporters that the doctor who inspected her arm had asked her to seek further medical inspection because her wrist might be broken.
Following the ugly incidents, a group of PKR supporters marched towards some 200 Umno supporters, who are no more than 20 meters away, while police rushed in to intervene.
However, with only a brick-and-mortar fence separating the opposing groups, the PKR supporters continued to be pelted with stones and water bottles for some time.
Earlier, at about 9pm, some 80 people in red shirts gathered outside the PKR ceramah venue and chanted "Tibai (whack)", which is the acronym of a newly formed anti-Anwar group.
This is the third time in a week in which stones and eggs were thrown at a Pakatan ceramah.
The latest incidents happened at Merlimau, Malacca on Saturday, and Bangi, Selangor on Monday.
The speech of the local MP Nurul Izzah Anwar was also disrupted, with the power cut occurring just as she was starting to speak, and green lasers aiming for her and the VIP tent from the nearby staff quarters just afterwards.
This is the worst ever, decries Nurul
Once the electricity supply was restored, Nurul continued her speech but flinched shortly after, prompting her bodyguard to rush towards her.
Speaking to reporters later, she said she felt something landing near her feet. She did continue her speech afterwards.
Nurul and another speaker, PKR Youth chief Shamsul Iskandar Mohd Akin, were targetted with green laser pointers while they were speaking.
"I have been campaigning for a long time, since (my predecessor) Shahrizat Abdul Jalil's reign, but this is the worst ever.
"(But) I think this is the last time BN would form the government," she said to the cheers of some 1,000 present.
PKR Youth chief Shamsul Iskandar Mohd Akin was also briefly targeted with green lasers during his speech.
The ceramah ended at midnight, with a speech prayer from Shah Alam MP Khalid Samad. Batu MP Chua Tian Chang also spoke at the ceramah.
As the Pakatan Rakyat leaders spoke, the rival group was holding their own much smaller rally with the Umno speaker Ummi Hafilda Ali waiting as the opposition politicians raised issues, then responded to them with loudspeakers pointed towards the PKR crowd.
A van bearing the Information Department's markings was also spotted amongst the Umno group, apparently providing their public address system.
