PAS Unit Amal chief Juhari Osman received a death threat by mail today, with a bullet attached.
The party's organ Harakah Daily reported that Juhari found the bullet wrapped in a stamped envelope in the mailbox of his Taman Ayer Molek home in Malacca about 11.50am.
"When I opened it, (I found) my photo with the words ‘pu** mak kau Juhari... traitor'.
"The
bullet was wrapped in a Tamil language newspaper," Harakahdaily quoted him as saying.Juhari reportedly said he would make a police report this afternoon, after discussing the matter with the state PAS commissioner.
He does not rule out that the death threat is linked to his role in leading Unit Amal on the pro-electoral reform rally on April 28.
During the Bersih 3.0 rally, Juhari led a 4,000-strong maroon-uniformed PAS volunteer unit to assist the Bersih organisers with crowd control.
The daily also quoted him saying that Unit Amal member Mat Kamal Ismail had been arrested at midnight, and had been taken to Dang Wangi police district headquarters in Kuala Lumpur.
Meanwhile, PKR vice-president N Surendran said Hulu Selangor councillor K Suppiah had been arrested this morning, and would be taken to the same police station.
The party youth wing’s information chief Rozan Azen Mat Rasip also told Malaysiakini that one of its exco members, Farhan Ibrahim, had been arrested without warrant at 3am under Section 440 of the Penal Code for rioting or participating in an illegal assembly.
The arrests are believed to be connected to their involvement in the Bersih 3.0 rally, and it is not known when they would be released.
