EC snubs Bersih again, calls Ambiga 'ruiner of democracy'
Always fair: EC deputy chief Wan Ahmad Wan Omar, you can fool yourself but not us.Malaysia had achieved independence but never had true democracy since independence due to people like yourself. What you said is a sign that you intend to continue with the dirty act.

Bersih represents many concerns and aspirations of Malaysians, so if you decide not to engage Malaysians, you should resign.

For example, you will consider only proposals on electoral reform from Parliament, But if the Parliament which came out with the proposals is made up of members who were fraudulently elected in the first place, how do you expect the proposals to clean up the electoral process?
And you say from now you will not deal with Bersih. Did you in any concrete or positive way deal with Bersih before?
Has it ever occurred to you that you may be the biggest problem in the EC? Maybe it is because of you that Bersih, the opposition and the rakyat don't trust the EC.

He has no shame in what he has said, and I think we all can judge on our own who is the real destroyer of democracy, and regardless of what he says, we will continue our fight for free and fair elections.
Just look at the turnout at Bersih 2.0 and 3.0 - the truth will prevail.

With people like you - with such logic and a lack of understanding of voters and citizens rights - heading the EC, no wonder it is in such a shameful and disgraceful state.
Every citizen has the locus standi to protest against irregularities in the electoral process and demand their corrections.
Such arrogance is steeped in stupidity, is it not? That is the real reason, which stems from anger that Bersih has completely exposed the EC for what it is, for not being independent when it is supposed to be, for refusing to accept exposures and weaknesses in the process, and for being incompetent to boot.

Despite proof of problems in the electoral roll, you sound like you are still living in a state of denial. You should have been booted out as you are not fit for the job.

But you are not willing to do your job and we, the rakyat who pay you and fund the elections, have a locus standi to demand that you do a good job of conducting the elections that meet international standards.

How can a EC head be a member of Umno? Perhaps, you don't understand what is conflict of interest. If you are really clean, why are you so scared of implementing the recommendations on electoral reforms?
Timothy: Wan Ahmad is obviously playing it safe by saying these things to ‘Ugutan (Utusan) Malaysia' only. If he had said this to a Malaysiakini reporter, he may have been asked to explain further on what he meant by "destroyer of democracy".
He is really going off-tangent. Demanding for clean and fair elections is actually promoting good democracy and fair governance.
