Why were Pakatan MBs and CM excluded, asks Khalid

Selangor MB Khalid Ibrahim today demanded that Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak explain why the menteris besar and chief minister from the Pakatan states were excluded from the Menteris Besar and Chief Ministers Meeting held on Tuesday.

He refuted the notion that Pakatan MBs and CM did not wish to attend the meeting, saying that they were not invited in the first place.

Khalid said the meeting, which was chaired by Najib himself, was effectively turned into a BN MBs and chief ministers meeting.

“It is very unprofessional for the PM to sideline the role of Pakatan MBs and chief minister in a meeting that discusses people’s affairs, despite Selangor, Penang, Kedah and Kelantan having contributed close to half of Malaysia’s economic output,” he said in a statement today.

He added that the incident also proved the 1Malaysia concept to be just another political gimmick.
