Evidence in the form of a taped confession of a Malay Muslim husband and wife who were baptised and converted into Christianity will soon be made available.

"There is a new development. We will soon screen a special video.

"It is of a husband and wife who were both baptised into  Christianity, but they have returned to Islam with the assistance of religious authorities,” said former Selangor exco member Hasan Ali at a press conference in Shah Alam today.

“There will be a lot of details (in the video), of overt and covert churches,” he added.
The video, he said will be released soon to those interested, including the media.

However, Hasan added that the identity of the couple will have to be protected and only their silhouettes shown in full.

“There is always the need for safety, the need for privacy,” he argued.

He explained that the couple were saved via the agency of the special unit under his purview, Unit Selamatkan Akidah (USA).

“It is under USA, even when I was an exco member the unit was under me and run by donations from interested parties. So it was not difficult to reorganise and repurpose the unit to be independent.

"However we will work together with the Selangor Islamic Affairs Department (Jais) and the zakat office from time to time.

"This couple, for example, we will later send them to the zakat office for financial help, something USA cannot do,” related the expelled PAS leader.
